Four hours on one Saturday a month. Qualifications: Education Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine degree with a valid license to practice psychiatry in the State of Illinois. Board certification or board eligibility in the field of psychiatry. Knowledge/Skills Possess specific knowledge of behavioral medicine healthcare. Healthcare clinic setting a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills to receive and convene with patients, families, staff and other physicians possessing or describing a variety of concerns. Demonstrate in all duties and responsibilities a warm, humane, compassionate attitude toward patients, their families, visitors, customers, and employees of VNA. Type/Years Experience Minimum of five years of experience practicing medicine. Two to three years of delivering medical leadership preferred. Job Summary: Evaluates patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Prescribes medication when necessary. Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. Job Summary: Is responsible for providing therapeutic mental health services in a community health outpatient setting. Strong computer skills required. Competencies desired include finger sticks, use of a glucometer and hemocue, urine dipstick testing, ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff and a manual scale. Provides clerical assistance to ensure the IBCCP goals are achieved. The IBCCP Case Manager Assistant also performs other tasks as assigned to assist in IBCCP and the VNA Health Center.
