  • Brighten someone's day by reading to children and helping patients with forms at our health clinics
  • Help watch children while moms participate in Healthy Families America education classes
  • Help plan and participate in community flu-shot clinics, special fund raising events and other special events such as our hospice memorial service
  • Help deliver baskets to patients who are homebound
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, preparing mailings and organizing donated items

VNA VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

"The ultimate expression of generosity is not in giving of what you have, but in giving of who you are." - Johnetta B. Cole

Our volunteers give from the heart and are an important part of everything we do at VNA Health Care. They bring enthusiasm and kindness to those we serve, making significant contributions to our Home Health, Hospice, Community Wellness and Health Center services.

Some of our volunteers work hundreds of hours a year, while others choose to work only on one special day. Whether their jobs are behind the scenes or out in public, all of our volunteers touch the lives of others in extraordinary ways.

VNA's volunteers are treated to an annual luncheon; receive a complimentary flu immunization; and are invited to all of VNA's special events, including the annual VNA Holiday party. Even more important is that volunteers have the opportunity to build friendships, while participating in work that is personally gratifying and emotionally meaningful.

We'd love to talk to you about becoming a VNA Volunteer! Please phone our Volunteer Coordinator at (630) 482-8112 to learn more.
